In an ever-globalizing world filled with ever-increasing data and connectivity, the definition of "site" is no longer limited by lot lines. Space, those who inhabit it, and their perception of it, are affected by an array of social, political, economic, environmental, and cultural forces -- each dynamic, each temporal, each pushing and pulling on the others. By reframing and representing these latent influences, the layers of any urbanism manifest. Analyzing and mapping the information available, relevant, and revelatory, allows the meaningful contextualization of architecture and creates the opportunity for intervention.
